The purpose of this research is to provide science-based data and expertise to guide visitor use management and visitor capacity decisions at Lake Anna State Park and Leesylvania State Park. With rising visitation, especially for water-based recreation, these parks face challenges such as crowding, conflicts, safety issues, and resource degradation. Understanding how visitors perceive these conditions and their impacts on the quality of recreational experiences is essential for making informed management decisions.
