National Park Service's Employee Safety
National Park Service’s Employee Safety, Health, and Wellness: A Survey of Employee’s Perspectives
Description:
In 2013, a comprehensive Needs Assessment was conducted by Clemson University for the National Park Service (NPS) Division of Visitor and Resource Protection. Findings from that assessment showed that employee safety was ranked first as the highest priority training gap, and employee wellness was ranked fifth. Therefore, the Office of Risk Management has begun to address this gap by planning and developing a comprehensive Safety, Health, and Wellness Strategy that is intended to increase knowledge, influence attitudes and build capacity of employees in the area of occupational safety, health, and wellness.
